Asad A. Mazhari, M.D.

Dr. Mazhari is a specialist in adult
neurosurgery with special training in neurotraumatology.
A native of Iran, Dr. Mazhari completed medical school at Goundi
Shapour in 1965. He then continued his medical education in the United States.
Following an internship from 1967 to 1968 at Farmingham Union Hospital
affiliated with Boston University, Dr. Mazhari entered the general surgery
residency at Boston City Hospital for two years in a Harvard Program. He
completed his neurosurgical training at Georgetown University Medical School
from 1970 to 1974. He also had special training in neurotraumatology from
1985 to 1988 at Houston-Texas Medical School where he served as an Assistant
Professor. He is now a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University
School of Medicine.
Dr. Mazhari, Board Certified in Neurological Surgery, is a member of
numerous medical societies including the American Medical Association,
American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological
Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.
