Providing Coordinated Care
in the Neurosciences

Welcome

Neurosurgery Group started in 1970’s with Arthur Eisenbrey, MD, Philip Huber, MD, and Robert E.M. Ho, MD.

Dr. Eisenbrey was the Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.  Committed to the care of pediatric patients, Dr. Eisenbrey continued to develop pediatric neurosurgery throughout his career at Childrens Hospital.  Dr. Philip Huber was a senior neurosurgeon of experience and reputation who practiced in both the William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak and the Detroit Medical Center.  Practicing neurosurgeons from the Wayne State Neurosurgery Program remember Dr. Huber for both his humanistic and mentoring skills.  Drs. Eisenbrey and Huber were skilled neurosurgeons who through their participation in the teaching programs and neurosurgical residency program at Wayne State Medical School advanced the quality of neurosurgery in Michigan.

At that time Robert E.M. Ho MD, was a new member of the academic staff of Wayne State Medical School Department of Neurosurgery, having returned from a neurosurgical fellowship in microneurosurgery and microvascular neurosurgery of the brain at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.

Neurosurgery Group has evolved into a multidisciplinary neuroscience group dedicated to providing patient care in the area of NEUROSCIENCES and serving as a resource for referring physicians. Our focus has been to provide solutions to a wide range of neurological problems involving the brain, spine, spinal cord, and nerves.

With the fast pace of life in the 21st Century, coordinated medical care has become more difficult.

We remain committed to the concept of providing high quality medical care and a coordinated approach to medical care. To meet these goals, an integrated group practice was developed consisting of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Michigan Neuroscience Center and Pain Clinic.. Access is provided to major hospitals in our region including the Detroit Medical Center.

We have the ability to move patients to those facilities that best meet the need of each patient while providing the best specialized care.
